| Requirements and Responsibilities For Loss Control Supervisor |
| Supervises the day-to-day activities of loss control representatives to ensure timely, accurate, and high-quality risk assessment services. Assigns and prioritizes inspection workloads based on account complexity, geographic territory, underwriting needs, and service level agreements. Reviews inspection reports, recommendations, and risk evaluations to ensure technical accuracy, consistency, and adherence to company standards. Provides technical guidance, training, and coaching to loss control staff on inspection techniques, report writing, and emerging risk topics. Collaborates with underwriting, claims, and brokerage teams to address account-specific risk concerns and resolve service issues. Monitors team performance metrics, productivity, and quality indicators to identify opportunities for process improvement and staff development. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager. Supervises a group of primarily para-professional level staffs. May also be a level above a supervisor within high volume administrative/production environments. Makes day-to-day decisions within or for a group/small department. Has some authority for personnel actions. Typically requires 3-5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. Thorough knowledge of functional area and department processes. |
