Requirements and Responsibilities For Plumber I
Inspects, repairs, installs, modifies, and maintains plumbing fixtures and piping in heating, water and drainage systems. Identifies plumbing and safety problems applicable to the installation and takes necessary corrective action using appropriate parts and tools. Complies with all required safety, building code and inspection requirements. Reads and interprets blueprints, specifications, and other instructions. Has completed required apprenticeship. Typically requires a high school diploma. May require or be working towards a Journeyman Plumber status. Typically requires a State License for plumbing. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. Works under the close direction of senior personnel in the functional area. Possesses a moderate understanding of general aspects of the job. May require 0-1 year of general work experience.
